2 Sec. 1. 20-A MRSA §4014 is enacted to read: 3 §4014. Minimum wage for school support staff
4 Beginning with the 2020-2021 school year, the minimum hourly wage for school 5 support staff is $16.00 per hour. For the purposes of this section, "school support staff" 6 means a public school employee who is not an administrator, as defined in section 7 13001-A, subsection 1, or a certified teacher subject to the minimum salary requirement 8 pursuant to section 13407.
9 SUMMARY 10 This bill establishes a minimum wage of $16.00 per hour for school support staff.
