A BILL ENTITLED
1 AN ACT concerning
2 Worcester County – Sunday Hunting – Game Bird and Game Mammal Seasons
3 and Public Land
4 FOR the purpose of authorizing the Department of Natural Resources to allow a person to
5 hunt on each Sunday of the game bird and game mammal seasons in Worcester
6 County; authorizing the Department to allow a person to hunt on public land
7 designated for hunting by the Department on Sundays in Worcester County; making
8 conforming changes; and generally relating to Sunday hunting in Worcester County.
9 BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments,
10 Article – Natural Resources
11 Section 10–410(a)(1), (4), (5), and (15)

14 SECTION 1. BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF MARYLAND,
15 That the Laws of Maryland read as follows:
16 Article – Natural Resources
17 10–410.
18 (a) (1) The Department may allow a person to hunt on each Sunday of the
19 game bird and game mammal seasons in:
20 (i) Allegany County;
21 (ii) Cecil County;
22 (iii) Garrett County;

1 (iv) St. Mary’s County; [and]
2 (v) Washington County; AND
3 (VI) WORCESTER COUNTY.
4 (4) The Department may allow a person to hunt deer during the deer
5 firearms season:
6 (i) On each Sunday in:
7 1. Calvert County;
8 2. Caroline County;
9 3. Charles County;
10 4. Harford County;
11 5. Queen Anne’s County; AND
12 6. Somerset County; [and
13 7. Worcester County;]
14 (ii) On the first Sunday in:
15 1. Anne Arundel County; and
16 2. Talbot County; and
17 (iii) In Wicomico County, on:
18 1. The first Sunday; and
19 2. The second Sunday from 30 minutes before sunrise until
20 10:30 a.m.
21 (5) The Department may allow a person to hunt deer during the deer bow
22 hunting season on:
23 (i) The last three Sundays in October and the first two Sundays in
24 November in:
25 1. Calvert County;

1 2. Caroline County;
2 3. Charles County;
3 4. Harford County;
4 5. Queen Anne’s County;
5 6. Somerset County;
6 7. Talbot County; AND
7 8. Wicomico County; and
8 [9. Worcester County; and]
9 (ii) The first Sunday in November in Anne Arundel County.
10 (15) The Department may not allow a person to hunt on public land
11 designated for hunting by the Department on Sunday except in:
12 (i) Allegany County;
13 (ii) Cecil County;
14 (iii) Garrett County;
15 (iv) St. Mary’s County;
16 (v) Washington County;
17 (vi) WORCESTER COUNTY;
18 (VII) Dorchester County, for turkey during the spring turkey hunting
19 season; and
20 [(vii)] (VIII) Frederick County, for deer from the first Sunday in
21 October through the second Sunday in January of the following year, inclusive.
22 SECTION 2. AND BE IT FURTHER ENACTED, That this Act shall take effect July
23 1, 2021.
