Provides for a mandatory five-day school week for public schools. (gov sig)
Proposed legislation requires that the minimum school week consist of five consecutive days, except for acknowledged legal
holidays. The requirements of proposed legislation will not apply to any city, parish, or other local school system that
provides for a four-day school week on the effective date of this Act or any school district that receives a performance score
of A or B from the Louisiana Department of Education. Effective upon governor's signature.
