Purpose of the Bill: This bill adds an exception for the marshal of the City of Sulphur and designates the marshal as the
ward four marshal and authorizes the constables of justice of the peace courts to appoint deputy constables that are
residents of other parishes.

There is no anticipated direct material effect on local governmental expenditures as a result of this measure
because the bill only designates the marshal of the City of Sulphur as the ward four marshal and changes
residency requirements for deputy constables.
