Provides relative to elections
Proposed law allows the state central committee of each recognized political party having at least 25% of registered voters
(currently the Republican Party and the Democratic Party) may have one watcher in every precinct as well as super watchers
in each parish where that party is represented on the ballot in primary and general elections and the number of super
watchers is based on the number of registered voters in each parish. Proposed law allows the state central committee of
each recognized political party having at least 25% of registered voters may designate early voting watchers and alternative
watchers at each early voting location. Proposed law effective 1/01/2022.

EXPENDITURE EXPLANATION
There is no anticipated direct material effect on governmental expenditures as a result of this measure. The proposed law
authorizes each recognized political party to have one watcher at every precinct and super watchers in primary and general
elections as well as watchers and alternative watchers at each early voting location. Watchers and super watchers are not
compensated by state or local government entities.
REVENUE EXPLANATION
There is no anticipated direct material effect on governmental revenues as a result of this measure.
