ACT 74 (HB 405) 2021 Regular Session Jordan
Existing law authorizes parishes and municipalities to create planning commissions for the
purpose of making and adopting a master plan for the physical development of the parish or
municipality. Provides for composition of the commission. Requires members of a parish
or municipal planning commission to serve without compensation.
Existing law authorizes the governing authorities of specified municipalities to pay a per
diem to members of their respective municipal planning commissions and provides that the
rate of per diem and the number of meetings for which per diem may be paid shall be
established by ordinance. New law adds Brusly to the list of municipalities authorized to
provide for per diem payments.
Effective upon signature of governor (June 4, 2021).
