EXPENDITURE EXPLANATION
There is no anticipated direct material effect on governmental expenditures as a result of this measure.
Proposed law requires that certain additional data relative to minors who undergo abortion be included in the annual
statistical abortion-related data issued by LDH. The collecting and reporting of this additional data can be accomplished by
LDH with its existing resources.
Proposed law also requires that if a person receiving an abortion is a minor and is suspected to be a victim of child abuse or
neglect, then the physician must report the suspected abuse or neglect to DCFS. Physicians are already required to report
suspected abuse to DCFS; therefore, the LFO does not anticipate a workload increase for the department.
REVENUE EXPLANATION
There is no anticipated direct material effect on governmental revenues as a result of this measure.
