Present law prohibits nighttime taking of shrimp in certain coastal waters, except such taking is
authorized in the waters of Southwest Pass at Marsh Island past a line delineated in the law.
Proposed law retains present law and also prohibits nighttime taking of shrimp in Lake Pontchartrain
west of Interstate Highway 10.
Effective August 1, 2021.
