SB 35 Original 2020 Second Extraordinary Session Fields
Present law provides that at any time, a majority of the surviving members of either house of the
legislature may petition to terminate a gubernatorially declared state of disaster or emergency.
Proposed law provides that at any time, a two-thirds vote of the surviving members of both houses
of the legislature may petition to terminate a gubernatorially declared state of disaster.
Effective January 1, 2021.
