Requires that any communication issued to students or parents relative to immunization requirements include information
on exemptions from compliance with such requirements (Item #42)
Present law requires immunizations for persons entering schools, kindergartens, colleges, proprietary or vocational schools,
and day care centers for the first time. Exemptions from immunization requirements include either a written statement from
a physician stating that the procedure is contraindicated for medical reasons, or a written dissent from the student or his
parent or guardian. Proposed law requires any communications issued to students or parents relative to immunization to
include the text of the exemption and the legal citation.

There is no anticipated direct material effect on governmental expenditures as a result of this measure. Proposed law may
require school districts to revise electronic and printed communication material, however any costs are anticipated to be
negligible.
