SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2360 by House Committee on Transportation
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2360 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2360 would remove language from current law which requires the registration decal
issued for each vehicle and affixed to the license plate to contain the letters designating the county
in which a vehicle is registered. The bill would include technical amendments.
The Department of Revenue indicates the enactment of HB 2360 would increase
administrative expenditures for vehicle services by $5,500 in FY 2024. The Kansas Association
of Counties indicates the enactment of this bill would have no fiscal effect on counties. Any fiscal
effect associated with HB 2360 is not reflected in The FY 2024 Governor’s Budget Report.
