Dear Representative Humphries:
SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2425 by House Committee on Appropriations
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2425 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2425 would require a member of the Kansas Board of Regents to be a student member
from one of the state universities who is appointed by the Students’ Advisory Committee. The
student member would hold office for a term of two years or until the student member is no longer
enrolled in a state educational institution, whichever occurs first, and a successor is appointed and
confirmed. The student member would replace one of the existing nine members appointed by the
Governor.
The Kansas Board of Regents indicates HB 2425 would have no fiscal effect.
