SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for SB 165 by Senator Corson
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning SB 165 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
SB 165 would remove from current law the requirement that the election commissioner of
a county having a population of more than 130,000 must be a qualified elector and resident of the
county for at least two years prior to appointment.
The Secretary of State indicates that enactment of SB 165 would have no fiscal effect on
the agency. According to the Kansas Association of Counties, enactment of the bill would have
no fiscal effect on Kansas counties.
