SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2206 by House Committee on Health and Human
Services
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2206 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2206 would update certain definitions in the Kansas Telemedicine Act. The bill would
permit telemedicine to be used for referral to specialty services to the extent the services are
consistent with the standard of care. The bill would also allow for coordination of care between
providers of a patient who has established a relationship with the providers.
The Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board indicates that HB 2206 would have no fiscal
effect.
