1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION honoring the hard work and
2 resiliency of frontline workers during the COVID-19 pandemic.

4 WHEREAS, On March 13, 2020, President Trump declared a public
5 health emergency due to the outbreak of COVID-19; and
6 WHEREAS, COVID-19 presents a daunting challenge that our healthcare
7 workers, food service workers, childcare workers, transportation
8 workers and other frontline workers face everyday; and
9 WHEREAS, The state of Kansas has called upon our frontline workers to
10 serve their state during this pandemic; and
11 WHEREAS, Frontline workers have answered this call and carried out
12 critical work to protect the health and safety of our communities and
13 minimize the disruption that COVID-19 has caused; and
14 WHEREAS, Kansans owe a debt of gratitude to Kansas frontline workers
15 for their selfless service during the COVID-19 pandemic: Now,
16 therefore,
17 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of Kansas, the
18 Senate concurring therein: That the State of Kansas honors the hard
19 work and resiliency of all frontline workers who continue to serve
20 Kansas during the COVID-19 pandemic; and
21 Be it further resolved: That the Secretary of State shall send three
22 enrolled copies of this resolution to Representative Finch.
