1 AN ACT concerning the disposition of state real property; authorizing the
2 state board of regents on behalf of Kansas state university to sell certain
3 real property in Saline county.

5 Be it enacted by the Legislature of the State of Kansas:
6 Section 1. (a) The state board of regents is hereby authorized and
7 empowered, for and on behalf of Kansas state university, to sell and
8 convey all of the rights, title and interest subject to all easements and
9 appurtenances in the following described real estate located in Saline
10 county, Kansas: Lot Eleven (11), less West 100' feet, Block Twelve (12),
11 Schilling Subdivision No. 5, to the City of Salina, Saline County, Kansas.
12 Formerly a tract of land in Block Two (2) Schilling Subdivision Lying in
13 the Northeast Quarter (NE/4) of Section Three (3), Township Fifteen (15)
14 South, Range Three (3) West of the Sixth (6th) P.M. as shown in Deed
15 recorded November 18, 1966, in Book 268, pages 476 through 503 and
16 legal found on page 485.
17 (b) Conveyance of such rights, title and interest in such real estate
18 shall be executed in the name of the state board of regents by its
19 chairperson and executive officer. All proceeds from the sale and
20 conveyance thereof shall be deposited in the restricted fees account of
21 Kansas state university.
22 (c) No conveyance of real estate authorized by this section shall be
23 made or accepted by the state board of regents until the deeds, titles and
24 conveyances have been reviewed and approved by the attorney general. In
25 the event that the state board of regents determines that the legal
26 description of the real estate described in this section is incorrect, the state
27 board of regents may convey the property utilizing the correct legal
28 description, but the deed conveying the property shall be subject to the
29 approval of the attorney general. The conveyance authorized by this
30 section shall not be subject to the provisions of K.S.A. 75-3043a or 75-
31 6609, and amendments thereto.
32 Sec. 2. This act shall take effect and be in force from and after its
33 publication in the statute book.
