SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2334 by House Committee on Judiciary
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2334 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2334 would expand the list of individuals before whom a deposition should not be
taken. This would include:
1. A party to the action; and
2. A relative, employee or attorney of someone with a financial interest in the action or its
outcome.
The bill would define “employee.”
According to the Office of Judicial Administration, enactment of HB 2334 would not have
a fiscal effect on the operations of the Judicial Branch.
