SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2289 by House Committee on Federal and State Affairs
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2289 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2289 would streamline existing law to make references to private carriers of property
refer to private and public carriers of property, household goods or passengers or refer globally to
“carriers.” The bill would also make a number of technical corrections to existing law.
According to the Kansas Corporation Commission, enactment of HB 2289 would have no
fiscal effect on agency expenditures or revenues.
