SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2190 by House Committee on Federal and State Affairs
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2190 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2190 would amend the Energy Fairness Act to prohibit any utility providing electrical
service in Kansas from basing any rate, joint rate, toll, charge or classification or schedule of
charges on different energy usage patterns of a distributed generation retail customer.
According to the Kansas Corporation Commission, enactment of HB 2190 would have no
fiscal effect on agency expenditures or revenues.
