SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2113 by House Committee on Elections
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2113 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2113 would amend existing law to make any petition submitted for the purpose of a
political party seeking official recognition null and void unless it is submitted to the Secretary of
State within one year of the date of the first signature on the petition. The bill would also make
technical corrections to existing law.
According to the Office of the Secretary of State, enactment of HB 2113 would have no
fiscal effect on the agency, nor would it have a fiscal effect on the county election offices.
