SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for SB 30 by Senate Committee on Financial Institutions and
Insurance
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning SB 30 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
SB 30 would designate the statutes that refer to small employer health plans as the “Small
Employer Health Insurance Availability Act.” The bill would also define “association health plan”
as a group health plan issued by a group or association of employers under section 3(g) of the
Employee Income Retirement Security Act of 1974. In addition, the bill would make several
technical amendments to current statute.
Enactment of SB 30 would have no fiscal effect.
