SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2060 by Representative Parker
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2060 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2060 would permit municipal or county governments to enact an ordinance that would
require a private employer to pay compensation for leave from work.
According to the League of Kansas Municipalities and the Kansas Association of Counties,
enactment of HB 2060 could have a fiscal effect on State General Fund revenues from income tax
collected on wages earned from previously uncompensated leave. Any fiscal effect associated
with HB 2060 is not reflected in The FY 2020 Governor’s Budget Report.
