SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2028 by Joint Committee on Corrections and Juvenile
Justice Oversight
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2028 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2028 would add transportation of juveniles to evidenced-based community programs
and electronic monitoring of juveniles to the list of expenditures, which may be paid from the
evidence-based programs account of the State General Fund which is administered by the
Department of Corrections.
The Department of Corrections estimates any fiscal effect resulting from the enactment of
HB 2028 would be absorbed within existing resources.
