SUBJECT: Fiscal Note for HB 2029 by Representative Ward
In accordance with KSA 75-3715a, the following fiscal note concerning HB 2029 is
respectfully submitted to your committee.
HB 2029 would repeal KSA 65-6230 which is known as the Health Care Compact.
Member states of the Health Care Compact pledge to take action to secure the consent of the United
States Congress to return the authority to regulate health care to the states.
The Department of Health and Environment and the Department for Aging and Disability
Services indicate enactment of HB 2029 would have no fiscal effect on the Departments.
