SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1 A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring Mark Huggler upon
2 his retirement from the Indiana Senate.
3 Whereas, Mark began his career with the Indiana Senate as
4 a full-time employee in the bill distribution and duplication
5 department in 2006, where he supported legislators and staff
6 for fifteen years until his retirement in 2021;
7 Whereas, Mark graduated in 1978 from Warren Central
8 High School in Indianapolis;
9 Whereas, Following graduation, Mark enlisted in the
10 United States Navy, where he served for eight years at a
11 number of locations, including at Naval Air Station Cecil Field
12 in Duval County, Florida, the Naval Air Station Whidbey Island
13 in Oak Harbor, Washington, and on the USS Ranger, where he
14 sailed throughout the Eastern Hemisphere;
15 Whereas, Upon being honorably discharged in 1986, Mark
16 began his service with the State of Indiana, initially working in
17 the Land Acquisition Division at the Indiana Department of
18 Transportation, and worked there for twenty years;

1 Whereas, In 2006, Mark briefly worked at the Indiana
2 Department of Revenue before beginning his service at the
3 Indiana Senate; and
4 Whereas, A proud veteran and long-time resident of
5 Indianapolis, Mark will be deeply missed by Senators, staff, and
6 all who have come to know him through his years of service to
7 the Senate: Therefore,
8 Be it resolved by the Senate of the
9 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
10 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate honors Mark Huggler
11 upon his retirement from the Indiana Senate.
12 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
13 to transmit a copy of this Resolution to Mark Huggler.
