SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1 A SENATE RESOLUTION honoring the 2021 Senate
2 Majority Caucus interns and thanking them for their service to
3 the Indiana General Assembly.
4 Whereas, Throughout the First Regular Session of the
5 122nd Indiana General Assembly, the Senate Majority Caucus
6 interns have provided the Senators of the Republican Caucus,
7 individually and collectively, with outstanding assistance and
8 support;
9 Whereas, Those serving so ably this session include Drake
10 Abramson, Joe Angert, Emma Balzer, Katie Bancroft, Emily
11 Benner, Cory Best, Nicholas Clifford, Natalie Collins,
12 Samantha Deese, Annabelle Dockins, Twanyea Donaldson,
13 Cody Fenimore, Daniella Ferrante, Emma Garelick, Megan
14 Granados, Jonathan Greene, Abigail Heischman, Kyra
15 Helming, John Huggins, Katie Larch, Emma Legg, Christopher
16 McGrath, Grace Moster, Kirsten Nielsen, Samuel Overly,
17 Margaret Reeves, Olivia Rivera, Anna Schuler, Claire Shea,
18 Will Shroyer, Erin Siegel, Courtney Smith, Mitchell Tran, Cole
19 Trent, Blaire Viehweg, Andrew Warrick, Adam Welker, and
20 Samantha Williams;

1 Whereas, The Senate Majority Caucus interns represent
2 sixteen colleges, universities, and law schools, including Ball
3 State University, Butler University, Franklin College, Indiana
4 State University, Indiana University Bloomington, Indiana
5 University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, Indiana
6 University-Purdue University Indianapolis, Kansas State
7 University, Liberty University, Purdue University, Purdue
8 University Fort Wayne, Purdue University Northwest, Taylor
9 University, University of Cincinnati, University of Indianapolis,
10 and University of Southern Indiana;
11 Whereas, The exemplary efforts of the Senate Majority
12 Caucus interns have contributed to the Senate's ability to be
13 more efficient and responsive to the citizens of the great State
14 of Indiana;
15 Whereas, Despite the unique challenges posed by the
16 COVID-19 pandemic, the Senate Majority Caucus interns
17 worked tirelessly to maintain the vital operations of the Senate
18 with the utmost degree of professionalism; and
19 Whereas, It is fitting that the Senate Majority Caucus
20 interns are recognized for their hard work, time devoted, and
21 talents shared with the Indiana General Assembly: Therefore,
22 Be it resolved by the Senate of the
23 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
24 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate honors and expresses
25 its full appreciation and sincere commendation to the 2021
26 Senate Majority Caucus interns.
27 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
28 to transmit copies of this Resolution to each Senate Majority
29 Caucus intern who served during the First Regular Session of
30 the 122nd General Assembly.
