1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION celebrating the 115th
2 anniversary of the founding of International Brotherhood of
3 Electrical Workers Local Union 481.
4 Whereas, The International Brotherhood of Electrical
5 Workers Local Union 481 was founded in 1906, with ten
6 original electricians;
7 Whereas, The International Brotherhood of Electrical
8 Workers Local Union 481 now represents more than 3,000
9 electrical workers from 16 counties;
10 Whereas, The International Brotherhood of Electrical
11 Workers Local Union 481 brings joy to the community by
12 organizing and installing the Circle of Lights Christmas display
13 on the Soldiers and Sailors monument annually;
14 Whereas, The International Brotherhood of Electrical
15 Workers Local Union 481 regularly offers outside
16 organizations the use of their union hall for events that aid and
17 better Hoosiers in the community;
18 Whereas, The International Brotherhood of Electrical
19 Workers Local Union 481 have strong core values of safety,
20 professionalism, accountability, building relationships, and
21 doing quality work; and
22 Whereas, The International Brotherhood of Electrical
23 Workers Local Union 481 have faithfully served the community
24 with dedication and care for 115 years: Therefore,

1 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives
2 of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,
3 the Senate concurring:
4 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly honors the
5 International Brotherhood of Election Workers Local Union
6 481 on the occasion of the 115th anniversary of its founding
7 and for its many contributions to the community.
8 SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
9 Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to the
10 office of State Representative Mitch Gore.
