RESOLUTION No. ____
1 A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION congratulating Crown
2 Point High School's girls basketball team on winning the state
3 championship.
4 Whereas, Crown Point High School's Lady Bulldogs
5 basketball team won the Class 4A state championship on
6 February 27th, 2021, 44-34;
7 Whereas, Jessica Carrothers led the Lady Bulldogs in scoring
8 25 points at the state championship game, along with making
9 seven rebounds and five steals;
10 Whereas, Lilly Stoddard aided her team with an average of
11 10.7 points, 9.1 rebounds, 1.4 steals, and 2.3 blocks per game
12 this season;
13 Whereas, Teammates Jessica Carrothers and Lilly Stoddard
14 were named Indiana Junior All-Stars by the Indiana Basketball
15 Coaches Association, the only set of teammates to do so.
16 Carrothers and Stoddard were chosen to be a part of the
17 Indiana Basketball Coaches Association's underclass all-state
18 Supreme 15 team;
19 Whereas, The Lady Bulldogs finished the season with a 25-1
20 record;
21 Whereas, Crown Point High School's girls basketball team
22 won state championships in 1984 and 1985;
23 Whereas, Head Coach Chris Seibert and the Lady Bulldog's
24 coaching staff led the team through a safe and successful

1 season during the COVID-19 pandemic; and
2 Whereas, The 2020-2021 Lady Bulldogs basketball team
3 brought excitement and pride to all people of the Crown Point
4 community and Hoosiers across northern Indiana: Therefore,
5 Be it resolved by the House of Representatives
6 of the General Assembly of the State of Indiana,
7 the Senate concurring:
8 SECTION 1. That the Indiana General Assembly
9 congratulates the 2021 Crown Point High School girls
10 basketball team on their state championship win.
11 SECTION 2. That the Principal Clerk of the House of
12 Representatives shall transmit copies of this resolution to the
13 office of State Representative Julie Olthoff.
