SENATE RESOLUTION ____
MADAM PRESIDENT:
I offer the following resolution and move its adoption:
1 A SENATE RESOLUTION memorializing Warren S.
2 "Butch" Harling.
3 Whereas, Warren S. "Butch" Harling passed away on
4 March 1, 2021, at the age of 60;
5 Whereas, Butch was born on March 20, 1960, in Baltimore,
6 Maryland, to Ambler and Gladys Harling;
7 Whereas, After graduating from Butler University in 1983,
8 Butch began a long and distinguished career in home mortgage
9 loans, serving most recently as a Branch Manager for Caliber
10 Home Loans;
11 Whereas, Butch was dedicated to the development of his
12 local community, and served on the City of Fishers Plan
13 Commission and the City of Fishers Board of Zoning Appeals
14 for over 30 years;
15 Whereas, As a past president of the City of Fishers Plan
16 Commission and Board of Zoning Appeals, Butch was
17 committed to protecting the best interests of the city and its
18 residents, and his leadership was instrumental in the economic

1 boom the city is now experiencing, eventually earning him a
2 Key to the City from Mayor Scott Fadness;
3 Whereas, Butch is survived by his wife Kathy, his mother
4 Gladys, his children, Weston, Nathan, and Kylie, his
5 grandchildren, Hunter, Wren, and Landon, his siblings, Dave,
6 Tom, Garry, and Patti, and his mother-in-law Mary; and
7 Whereas, Butch will be remembered for his avid collection
8 of coins and watches, his love of trading cars, his devotion to
9 his family, and his many contributions to the City of Fishers:
10 Therefore,
11 Be it resolved by the Senate of the
12 General Assembly of the State of Indiana:
13 SECTION 1. That the Indiana Senate memorializes Warren
14 S. "Butch" Harling.
15 SECTION 2. The Secretary of the Senate is hereby directed
16 to transmit a copy of this Resolution to the family of Warren S.
17 "Butch" Harling.
