Summary of Legislation: The bill provides that a school employee of a school corporation may not be
subject to discipline from the school corporation for communication to the governing body if the school
employee is communicating:
(1) on a matter of public concern; and
(2) in a manner that does not affect the efficient operation of the school.
Effective Date: July 1, 2021.
