STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS31754 / H0761
This appropriation to the Public School Support Program's Division of Teachers provides a reduction of funding
from the maintenance bill as it relates to 696 fewer estimated support units for fiscal year 2025. This bill also
reallocates funding in the current year to discretionary funding as a result of fewer support units in the current
year.
FISCAL NOTE
This appropriation provides a reduction of $42,527,100 to the maintenance appropriation provided to the Public
School Support Program found in House Bill 460. Table 1 below show the fiscal impact for the current year
reallocation to discretionary funds and the amount reduced for fewer support units in FY 2025. Table 2 shows
the programs included in the Teachers Division and their respective amounts. The total budget for the Teachers
Division is $1,296,377,700.
