STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This bill amends sections 34-1801B and 34-1801C to clarify applicability to property taxes.
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation will have no effect on the state general fund or any other state level funding sources. There is
the possibility of a reduction in local property tax funds if citizens place a measure on the ballot and vote to
approve a reduction in a property tax base budget. In those instances, local taxpayers will pay less in property
taxes than they would have otherwise.
