STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS29950C1 / S1091
This legislation adds additional authority to assess civil monetary penalties for non-compliance of rules and
regulations associated with protecting vulnerable Idahoans through criminal history and background checks
and required training for proper Medicaid participant care.
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation will have no impact on the state’s General fund or any dedicated fund or federal fund because
the additional receipts gained through civil monetary penalty assessments will be used to offset the additional
cost of filling department vacancies.
