STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS30028 / H0057
The purpose of this bill is to streamline the process for disabled veterans who receive a disabled veteran's license
plate to receive a placard for their second vehicle. Currently they must go thru the process for a disabled placard
a second time. This bill will simplify the process so that they will only need to file one time to receive a disabled
veteran's plate as well as a placard.
FISCAL NOTE
The Idaho Transportation Department estimates one-time development costs of $12,000. The department would
not pursue this funding, but absorb these one-time costs. There will be no impact to general funds or local funds,
only the department's dedicated funds.
