STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation repeals the requirement for WWAMI students to have to sign a contract to return the financial
aid they received if they don’t practice medicine in Idaho after graduation.
FISCAL NOTE
There is a possible slight negative impact to the general fund if students who had to repay their loans under the
previous law no longer have to do so.
