STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS30005 / H0026
This legislation amends Section 16-2428, Idaho Code, regarding confidentiality and disclosure of information
records. It seeks to clarify Idaho Code to include situations when a parent or guardian seeks Medicaid coverage
information. It adds that accessing services and supports for the child is a necessary reason to obtain medical
records as well.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no fiscal impact on the general fund because all record releases will be done by the agency holding the
records.
