STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS29017C1 / S1243
Existing state code describing the makeup of the Idaho Board of Environmental Quality is being updated to
reflect Clean Air Act Section 128 requirements for state environmental boards. Previously the department relied
on Executive Orders to ensure these requirements were met.
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation will have no impact on the state’s general fund, any dedicated fund or federal funds because
this legislation only updates requirements for the composition of the Board members residing on the Board of
Environmental Quality.
