STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

The Idaho Military Division seeks to amend and update Idaho Code Section 46, Chapter 2, Officers and Enlisted
Men, in order to correctly reflect diversity within the Idaho Military Division. Currently the language used in
Title 46 does not reflect the gender diversity within the Idaho Military Division. The proposed change would
amend the word “men” throughout Chapter 2.
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation will have no impact on the state’s General fund or any dedicated fund or federal fund because
the proposed change is just an adjustment of the language used in Chapter 2 of Section 46. It does not add or
remove any requirement that would necessitate expenditures from the Idaho general fund.
