STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS28865 / S1192
This is the FY 2022 original appropriation bill for the Public Charter School Commission. It appropriates a
total of $1,195,800 and caps the number of authorized full-time equivalent positions at 5.00. This appropriation
is the stand-alone budget for the commission, which was previously a budgeted program within the Office of
the State Board of Education. The bill funds three line items, which provide 4.00 FTP and $560,800 transferred
from the Office of the State Board of Education; 1.00 FTP and $80,000 for a financial program manager; and
$555,000 onetime from the dedicated Charter School Authorizer's Fund.
