STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS28646C2 / H0238
The purpose of this bill is to change the classification of the wolf in some big game management units to a
predator. That change would allow different methods of take in units where the wolf is classified as a predator.
This bill has a threshold of 50 packs before some management responsibility will be returned to IDFG. It finally,
mandates a report be given to Idaho Department of Fish and Game.
FISCAL NOTE
Wolf tags sell for $13.50 or $11.50 lock for residents and $31.75 for non residents. There will be no fiscal
impact on the State General Fund monies but there will be an unknown reduction in Fish and Game funds.
