STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS28459 / H0159
Currently there is an exception to the requirement that loads in open top trucks/ trailers be tarped. This change
in code removes that exception, to further prevent spillage and thus limit road hazards for all drivers but that
may be of special concern for motorcyclists.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no fiscal impact to the general fund or any other state fund because this modification to the code does
not require state funds.
