STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation will allow a Purple Heart recipient to have more than two vehicles with Purple Heart license
plates. Current law only allows a Purple Heart recipient to have two vehicles with Purple Heart plates.
FISCAL NOTE
No positive or negative impact to the any funds as the Purple Heart plate registration is the same cost as the
regular plate registration. There will be an additional cost of approximately $662.40 dollars over 10 years as
estimated by the Idaho Department of Transportation. The cost of a Purple Heart plate is slightly more than that
of a regular plate. There is no extra cost to the consumer as the Purple Heart plate cost the same as a regular
plate.
