STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation clarifies the intent of Idaho Code 49-1401A(2)(c) that the use of a global positioning or
navigation system feature of a mobile electronic device by the operator of a motor vehicle is permissible
provided it is hands-free use.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no fiscal impact. No funds are needed to clarify Idaho Code.
