STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS27546C1 / S1350
The purpose of this legislation is to increase the information available to voters about statewide citizen
initiatives. It proposes to add a fiscal impact statement to all statewide ballot initiatives, including a proposed,
non-binding funding source. The statement will be prepared by the Division of Financial Management, an
executive branch agency.
FISCAL NOTE
The Division of Financial Management could see a minimal increase in their workload preparing fiscal impact
statements but anticipate the ability to do the work within their existing budget.
