STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation relating to ambulance service districts and cooperative agreement's amending section 31-1430
Idaho Code to enable an intra-agency agreement and resource-share clause between an ambulance district and
fire districts. Each district and their Board of Commissioners would still have control over their own funds,
but they could voluntarily agree with each other to share costs, for the purpose of increasing efficiency and
improved emergency medical services.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no fiscal impact for this bill from the general fund. This only changes the ability of an ambulance
service districts to enter into an agreement with local fire districts to offer ambulance services.
