STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS27686 / S1331
Under current law, chiropractic physicians certified in clinical nutrition must use an outsourcing facility, or a
503B pharmacy, to obtain the prescription drug products which they may administer. This legislation would
allow a chiropractic physician to obtain patient-specific prescriptions for office use from a licensed, Idaho
compounding pharmacy. The legislation does not expand the list of prescription drugs that may be administered
by a chiropractic physician certified in clinical nutrition.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no impact to the general fund or to the budget of the State Board of Chiropractic Physicians. This
change will not impact licensing fees or increase administrative costs.
