STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation amends section 55-307 Idaho Code to require that landlords provide at least forty-five days'
written notice if the landlord is raising the rent by ten percent or more on an annual lease, and 30 days' notice
for a rent increase of ten percent or more on a month-to-month lease.
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation will have no impact on the General Fund or any county or other governmental fund, as it applies
only to private actors and does not require any outlay of public funds.
