STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS27527 / S1305
The purpose of this legislation is to clarify the requirements of supervisors for prescribing psychology students.
This change adds Family Practice Physicians to the list of approved supervisors and requires at least two years
of experience in the management of psychotropic medications. This proposal will help address the lack of
supervisors available to prescribing psychology students.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no impact to the general fund, as the Board of Psychology is a self -funded board; further, this change
will not add any responsibilities to the work of the board.
