STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

This legislation ensures that drivers who hold a commercial drivers license are not allowed to be put on a DUI
Diversion program. This complies with federal commercial driving regulations.
FISCAL NOTE
This legislation does not have any anticipated impact on the General Fund, or to any county or other government
fund. This legislation only clarifies the original intent of the DUI diversion program passed into law in 2019.
It will neither increase nor decrease the number of diversion participants.
