STATEMENT OF PURPOSE
RS27445 / H0395
Section 33-3101, Idaho Code, currently limits offerings at Lewis-Clark State College (LCSC) to instruction in
four (4) year college courses in science, arts and literature, and such courses or programs as are usually included
in liberal arts colleges leading to the granting of a baccalaureate degree and career technical education courses
or programs of less than four (4) years. The proposed amendments would remove the restrictions and allow the
college to offer such programs as the State Board of Education may approve.
FISCAL NOTE
There is no direct fiscal impact from the changes in this legislation. Possible future enrollment growth at LCSC
due to the changes from this legislation could lead to an increase in general fund allocation as generated through
the Enrollment Workload Adjustment (EWA) funding formula.
